API is on the cusp of developing a major independent iron ore mining and infrastructure project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Currently in feasibility stage, the West Pilbara Iron Ore Project (the “Project”) is supported by two significant joint venture partners with diverse mining interests internationally. Project commissioning is scheduled for early 2013 and there is potential for considerable growth in subsequent stages based on a prospective and extensive tenement portfolio, totalling approximately 10,000km2.
